EUIPO provide expert advice, free of charge to SMEs

IPOI are delighted to highlight the Pro bono support provided by EUIPO to small or medium-sized (SMEs) businesses. 

SMEs can access to preliminary free, personalised advice from qualified national intellectual property (IP) professionals who generously volunteer their time and expertise.  These experts (independent of the EUIPO) will assist you understand, protect and manage your IP – such as patents, trade marks and designs.  The service is entirely pro bono, no fees or hidden charges. The sole aim is to support the success of small businesses.

Who can request Pro bono support?

  • You must be small to medium-sized enterprise (SME) or self-employed. Check whether you qualify as an SME using this SME Wizard.
  • Your business must be established in the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA).
  • You have not benefitted from a pro bono support consultation in the past three years
